About The Cane Corso
Smart, trainable, and of noble bearing, the assertive and confident Cane Corso is a peerless protector. The Corsi lineage goes back to ancient Roman times, and the breed's name roughly translates from the Latin as 'bodyguard dog.' At nearly 28 inches at the shoulder and often weighing more than 100 pounds, with a large head, alert expression, and muscles rippling beneath their short, stiff coat, Corsi are at a glance intimidating creatures. Their imposing appearance is their first line of defense against intruders. As one writer put it, 'An understated air of cool competence, the kind of demeanor you'd expect from a professional bodyguard, is the breed's trademark.' Corsi are intelligent, loyal, eager to please, versatile, and intensely loyal to their humans, but are also assertive and willful, and can end up owning an unwitting owner. As with any other big guardian dog, responsible breeding and early socialization with people and other dogs is vital.

Why Did I Choose the Cane Corso on Furry-Paws?
The Cane Corso is one of my favorite breeds and I own two irl. They're strong and amazing and their abilities are some of the best of the canine world.
On Furry-Paws the Corso is one of the least loved breeds and doesn't have many active breeders so I wanted to change that.

What are My goals?
My goal for my Corso breeding program is simple. Breed for 24HH lala and intx4. I want them to specialize in Hunting Trials and have the best possible aptitude for that sport.
As a side project I want to make a side line for blue cream corsi
You can see my full progress on my Corso program in my spreadsheet here.

Why do I breed for Hunting Trials?
I picked hunting trials for the sport i want to focus on with my corso because its the only sport i felt matched with the real life corsos personality and behavior.
WHY BREED FOR INTELLIGENCE?
Intelligence is the stat i picked because for hunting trials most arenas are biased in intelligence and it boosts my ability to properly show my corso
Blue Cream?
Blue Cream is the most recessive and rare color in Cane Corso on Furry-Paws. In real life these dogs are called Formentinos, they're gorgeous and wonderful dogs and I love how they look both in game and real life.
